The hike to Høgaksla (991 m), a peak located on the legendary Romsdalseggen ridge, offers spectacular views. Difficulties of the hike
The route is easy and presents no major technical difficulties. Between Nesaksla and Høgaksla, the ridge is wide, the trail is well marked, making it comfortable for families and novice hikers.
However, the adventure becomes more technical with a few exposed sections if you choose to continue beyond Høgaksla and follow the Romsdalseggen ridge.

Practical information
Start
The trailhead is located at the top of Nesaksla (715 m), right by the exit of the Romsdalsgondolen cable car, which connects Åndalsnes to the mountain. The cable car departs every 30 minutes.
